Let’s talk about the infamous Amazon ERROR 5665, what it is, how it works and how to fix it for good!
The ERROR 5665 started to show up on Amazon earlier this year when sellers tried to create a new listing for a product and enter a brand name that was not registered with Amazon’s Brand Registry.
Here’s the exact ERROR 5665 message that comes up on Amazon:
Amazon must approve your brand before you can use it to list products. Brands should be registered through Brand Registry, but if your brand is not eligible for Brand Registry, you can obtain an exception by contacting Seller Support and mentioning error code 5665.

Another month has passed, and it’s time for my monthly business update post. In these posts, I share results from my own Amazon FBA business and update you on the latest Amazon FBA news.
September has been a very busy month. Sales have increased since August, which is always good to see! There has also been a lot of Amazon-related news. Here’s a summary of what we’ll be covering today:
- My Amazon business results, and how to make £8,227.30 NET profit doing NOTHING!
- Prime Day is here! What is my strategy to maximise profits?!

My SECRET LIST: 100 Products to Sell on Amazon UK!

“What product should I sell?”
That is the million-dollar question—and it’s one that I have heard thousands of times over the last 15 years of doing business online and running this blog. For the first decade, it was all about eBay, and now it’s all about Amazon. It doesn’t matter what the platform is, new sellers have ALWAYS struggled to find the RIGHT product to sell.
And I totally get it—the struggle is real! Take, for example, my Amazon Sharks program. Even though I explain exactly how to do market research in the course, as well as how to find profitable products to sell on Amazon UK, there are still people who find this process difficult and stressful. And there are several reasons why this happens:
1) They can’t see through the numbers. There are so many data points that we need to simultaneously look at and weigh up as part of this process. It is based on what these numbers say and how they relate to each other, etc. that we make our product selection decisions. For many people, this is simply too much and they start to think that this Amazon FBA game is only for math geniuses. Which is not true at all!
£25,209.56 Holiday Month, Christmas Miracle & Amazon Sweden GRAND OPENING!

It’s September. The children are back in school, the heatwave is gone, and we can all start to prepare ourselves for the autumn depression. Add the COVID pandemic on top of that and you have a lovely-jubbly outlook for the remaining part of the year.
But is it all that bad? Of course it’s not!
I’m just messing around here! 🙂
I almost never look at life in such a gloomy way, and I actually like this part of the year because:
1) I have two kids, and for their own sake, they need to go back to school and start socialising again. I really hope that the schools here will stay open and there won’t be another lockdown. I’ve seen for myself just how traumatic that experience can be, especially for my son who is only seven years old.
2) It’s hard to work in an office in the summertime. I still managed to do quite a lot this summer, but still, it is hard to be super productive and sit in front of the computer all day long when there are so many things you can do outside with your friends and family.

Oh boy, I wish I didn’t have to make this post… EVER! But it’s so sad watching people getting scammed on Alibaba on a daily basis that I have no choice but to sound like an old record and repeat stuff I have already covered in my previous Alibaba Scam posts.
You would think that in 2020 people would be a little wiser to these things, right? You would think that all the “cleaning” Alibaba has done over the years, the Trade Assurance platform, the safe payment methods and everything else would completely eliminate scams, right?
Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I do believe that there have been some improvements over the years, BUT I’m still getting emails from people EVERY WEEK who are looking for help because they have been scammed by someone on Alibaba.
July 2020 Amazon UK FBA RECORD Sales: £31,732.88

While most people are enjoying their summer and the crazy hot weather outside, I have slowly and steadily kept working on the growth of my Amazon UK FBA business. And for a good reason!
This summer has been NOTHING but spectacular in terms of sales and profit! It may sound bizarre, but every morning, when I check my sales for the previous day, I get a buzz—or you could even call it even a high—from the numbers I see in my seller dashboard. Sales do boost my motivation, so the more money I make, the more excited I get to do even more.
Ok, I actually lied there. I’m working throughout the summer on my business, yes, but not on the actual Amazon FBA business. There are other projects. To be perfectly honest, I spent maybe three hours on my Amazon business in July, and that was mostly just to prepare for the shipment of two pallets (checking stock, projecting sales, printing labels, etc.).
I spent ZERO hours on marketing or customer support. In terms of marketing, since I switched off PPC ads, I don’t have much to do there anyway as my product images are great, all my listings have A+ content, and I’m not a huge believer in frequently changing titles, bullet points or descriptions for my listings as I don’t think Amazon likes that either (such changes can “confuse” the search algorithm and actually hurt your listing rankings).
What’s WRONG with your Amazon FBA business?

Amazon is constantly changing the seller dashboard, adding new features, and changing the layout of how everything looks. This is nothing new—it has happened every year since I started selling on the platform. Some of the changes are purely visual, while others are more significant and can directly affect your business on Amazon.
One particular change was introduced to us earlier this year. It is called: Voice of the Customer. Yes, with a capital C, because the Customer has always been the number one priority for Amazon. Heck, that’s how they built their entire business: by carefully listening to customer feedback and doing whatever it takes to keep them satisfied.
Voice of the Customer is a new dashboard panel that is available under the main Performance menu. The feature is currently in BETA mode, so it’s not (yet) tied to the main Account Health metric, but I predict it’s just a matter of time before Amazon fully integrates this into their system.
BREXIT NEWS: MASSIVE Change to Amazon FBA PAN-EU Program!

I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer and the nice weather outside! I wanted to take July off the blog to relax a bit before the “new season” starts in August, BUT the announcement Amazon made on the 14th of July is too important for me to ignore and not share with my followers. Well, at least I got two weeks off! 🙂
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone seems to have forgotten about the whole Brexit saga, but let’s be real, it is happening—and it’s happening soon!
The UK officially left the EU on January 31st, 2020, and even though we don’t know whether a deal will be made or not, starting from next year (January 1st, 2021), the UK will leave the EU’s single market and customs union.
I’m still maintaining my optimism and hope that there will be a deal and some kind of trade agreement by then, but Amazon can’t wait around and hope for that to happen.
Minor, Major and Critical Product Defects when buying from Alibaba!
June 25, 2020 by Andrew Minalto
Sourcing products from China is a risky game, let’s admit it. Essentially, you’re sending money to a supplier in another country who you have never met, so there’s always a possibility that something could go wrong. I have discussed Alibaba Scams on my blog in the past, but if you ask me, scams are NOT the biggest issue you face when sourcing goods for your Amazon FBA business.
In fact, if you’re sourcing unbranded, everyday goods and you do proper research and use safe payment methods, the chances of you getting scammed on Alibaba are very low.
Believe it or not, over the last five years, I haven’t received a single email from someone who has sourced goods using my guidelines claiming they were scammed by a supplier on Alibaba. And by a “scam”, I mean a scenario where money was sent and the goods were never received.
However, I do get emails every week from people who failed to follow my guidelines and, as a result, have been scammed on Alibaba.
It sucks, but it’s always 100% their fault. They try to source branded goods, electronics and phones for unbelievably low prices from very shady suppliers, and then they are surprised when it turns out to be a scam. This is something I have warned people about over and over again. You CAN’T source branded goods from Alibaba, so just don’t do it!
SELL on Amazon during the COVID crisis, starting with just £1000!

It’s been a while since my last blog post, and there’s a good reason for that. I have been very busy launching two new businesses at the same time: one Shopify store and one offline business.
The time and energy that go into starting a successful new business are ENORMOUS! But I really enjoy the process, and I know that once everything is set up and all the processes are dialled in, it’s pretty much an easy ride. Well, at least for me, it has always been that way.
I have also started to realise that starting and building new businesses is my TRUE passion. It’s what I get the most enjoyment from. I love doing all the research, putting all the systems in place, modelling customer behaviour, coming up with marketing angles, etc.
Once all that is done and the business is up and running, I kinda lose that motivation and passion for it. This is probably the reason why I have started so many different businesses over the last decade…
