New Office – First iMac and £400 Electric Desks!
Regular readers of my blog will probably have noticed that over the last few months I haven’t been very active in terms of publishing new content, well at least not as active as I’d like.
But there was a very good reason for this – I spent July, August and September moving into a new office which took A LOT of time and energy (plus mental anguish!). We all know how it is with a move, and this one was no different – nothing went to plan and every schedule quickly went out the window.
Some of you may remember that early this summer, after finishing work on the brand new version of Easy Auction Business, I promised myself that I would spend the rest of the summer with my family, just take some time off and recharge myself for the new season.
If only life was that easy! ☺
I’ve had plans to expand for some time already, particularly as my new handmade greeting cards company needed more space for assembly work stations, warehousing etc.
And early in July, I received an offer to rent a bigger office space not far from our previous location. The offer was so good that I couldn’t resist and signed-on and as the new place needed some renovation I spent most of July and August on that, plus of course the actual moving process itself.
But nothing to worry about now as luckily this has all be done and we’ve been settled in our new office for a few weeks now, continuing with work as usual.
So in today’s blog post I wanted to share a few things with you that I have implemented in my office to improve productivity and in general – make the whole office routine more enjoyable and easier to handle.
The first new thing I wanted to bring to our office was height-adjustable desks. Mainly for health reasons of course as we all know how bad it is for you to sit down in front of a computer all day long. Also, keeping in mind that the employees for my new greeting card company need to work on various machines, I really wanted to offer them the best in terms of workspace ergonomics.
Now some of you may never have heard of them before so might now be wondering what on earth these height-adjustable desks actually are? Well basically they are normal desks with one important distinction – you can alter the height with the push of a button.
They have a special motor underneath the desk which is powered from the mains and a small up and down button panel screwed beneath the desk surface. (more…)

Easy Auction Business – Version 3.0 is HERE!
Yes, it’s finally happened, I have a new update for my best selling-eBay training program – Easy Auction Business Version 3.0 and basically; it’s a brand new course, created completely from scratch! Unlike previous years, this is not actually an update but a new course that covers even more topics than ever before and is fully updated with all the latest eBay rules and selling practices.
I have been working really hard for the last 6 months to get this course done before the summer. And with a slight delay of just a few weeks, I have finally finished and can now release the new course to the public.
This is a day to celebrate as I have created, what I believe to be, the world’s BEST eBay training program! If there is any course out there more extensive and in-depth than EAB 3.0 then I would really like to see it!
So what’s included in version 3.0? The course consists of 10 modules:
- First Things First
- Market Research
- Product Sourcing
- Listing Creation
- Growing Your Business
- Final Words
Each module consists of several video lessons covering each topic in detail.
Following the very good feedback received in my recent launch of eCommerce Magnates, I have created all the videos in HD resolution (16:9 aspect ratio) and apart from the usual streaming option, you can also access the content via:
- Downloadable videos (which you can watch on mobile devices at anytime)
- PDF transcripts for each video (which you can print out and read and use to make notes)
- MP3 audio files for each video (listen on your mobile phone or MP3 player)

Something BIG is Coming..

I’m Turning 30 today!
Yep, today I turn 30… and I’m starting to feel old.
When you’re 20, you think that 30 will never come. But as we all know, time really flies by and you reach 30 sooner than you ever expected. But now I think – 30 is not that bad, when I’m 40 – then, yes, I really will be old, lol. I’m sure this will happen every 10 years until I’m really old (I mean 80+) and still feel too young for my age!
Do I feel 30 today? Yes actually, I do. As I don’t do things an 18 year old does anymore. I don’t go to clubs, do binge drinking or stay awake late at night just to watch a movie. When you have a family – a wife, 2 kids, a dog, and a house to watch, clubs somehow don’t seem that appealing anymore.
And that’s fine, I like 30. It’s nothing like 40, right?
I like to look back each December – to see what happened in the previous year, what goals I’ve achieved, what new experiences I have added to my lifelong portfolio but when I look back at the last 10 years of my life – there are so many things that has happened that I would need to write a book about it!
Don’t worry; I’ll leave the book part for now though. I don’t think a biography written by a 30 year old could be considered a real biography. There’s still time for that.
10 years ago I was an order picker in a Primark warehouse, renting a single room in a shared house.
But I had that one big dream – to create my own business and become wealthy. Maybe not a millionaire but to make enough money to be happy and to support my desired lifestyle. (more…)

My Monthly Round-Up: October 2013
October – what a month it’s been! Super busy on all fronts and I’m very happy that I have achieved my targets for this month 100%.
Business has been going great, as expected really with the Christmas shopping madness approaching and people in general spending more time online after the slow summer months.
I also attended two trade shows (in Berlin and Warsaw) earlier this month + saw a UFO! But more on that later!
As for my blog – it was a very productive month over here too and I really hope the newly published 5 part Product Photography Guide will help many eBay/eCommerce shop owners create better product pictures.
In total, there were 10 posts published this month:
1) Product Photography – Part 1: Cameras
I started with a post on which cameras are best for product photography. There are many options available these days but for product pictures, there’s still nothing that beats a DSLR! The good news is that nowadays you can pick up a decent DSLR camera for as little as 300 pounds and if you’re serious about your business, this one investment will definitely pay you back tenfold over time.
2) How to compete with Chinese sellers on eBay?
I received an email from Roshan asking how to do business on eBay when there are so many Chinese sellers under-cutting everyone else. Well, the answer may surprise you – don’t compete with them as you don’t have to! In this post I have covered several strategies you can use to completely separate your business from Chinese competitors on eBay.
3) Info Products – A GOLDMINE for eCommerce Shop Owners!
Many people think that info products can only be sold on a content-only website or on specific publishing platforms, such as Amazon’s Kindle marketplace – but that’s far from true! In fact, almost any eCommerce or eBay shop owner can use info products to increase their conversion rates or even directly sell such products to their customers. (more…)

My Monthly Round-Up: September 2013
It’s September 30th and time for another monthly round-up post!
I do these summary posts mainly to keep myself openly accountable on how productive I’ve been with this blog, as I won’t lie to you – sometimes with all my other business activities it can be really hard to find the time to write enough content.
So here’s a quick summary of the posts published this month:
1) Why do so many people FAIL online?
This was a motivational type of post in which I cover the biggest mistake people make when starting an online business. You can get everything wrong, learn from your mistakes and still do well as long as you follow this one, simple rule.
2) How to integrate MailChimp with eBay?
If you’re not already collecting your eBay buyers’ emails using an auto responder service, you’re simply leaving tonnes of money on the table. With the technology available today, you can “connect” your PayPal account with such a service in just a few minutes time and start building a customer email list which you can then use to mail out promotions and newsletters 24/7, on total auto pilot!
3) Andrew, are you a millionaire?
In this post I go back in time and give you an overview on how I started making money with eBay and eCommerce in general. Also, I reveal more about my financial principles, investment strategies and the overall lifestyle decisions I’ve made during the last 10 years of my online career.
4) Which shopping cart is the BEST?
There isn’t one! There really is not any one single best shopping cart out there, but in this review style post I analyse all the advantages and disadvantages of the most popular shopping cart solutions and pick a winner. If you’re just starting out and plan to build an eCommerce Shop, this post will be hugely important to you and you’ll find tonnes of tips on how to choose your cart wisely and avoid the most common shopping cart pitfalls.
