It’s December 20th so you’re most likely fully into Christmas mode already and won’t even read this post! Oh, well! I hope that those of you who took part in this year’s contest ARE reading this and are ready to claim your prizes! Without further ado, let’s get to the results.
More than 50 (!!!) readers submitted their suggestions for what I should cover in my blog in 2019, and I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you! I can’t give a gift card to everyone, but, just so you know, I truly appreciate the effort you have made to help me out with your suggestions. So, a big thanks again!
To select the 10 lucky winners who will receive a £25 Amazon gift card, I gathered all the names and put them into the List Randomized tool on the random.org website, which I have been using every year for this contest.
When I click on the Randomize button, the software changes the order of names in a genuinely random manner. The first 10 in the list are the winners and will receive a £25 Amazon gift card. Here’s a video of what the process looks like:
So, my congratulations go to:
- Samantha Robinson
- Chris Howard
- Gary Wilson
I will contact each of you personally via the email address you provided in the comments block and send you your gift card today.
Now, as I explained last week, there’s also
My question concerns the wider business context.
Your blog and videos are excellent at showing the potential earnings on sales but your insight and experience about taking a start-up and growing a profitable business would be of great value to your readers.
For example how long was it before you required premises, when did you need to take on staff to grow the business, who were the first support staff members (i.e. receptionist for calls or staff for packing/shipping etc.). What were the indicators that you needed to recruit for different functions.
Did you use outsourcing for some support services (drop shippers or customer queries/ complaints etc.).
How did you know when you needed to employ others, what pitfalls did you encounter, did you need external finance to grow etc.
How did you complement and help support the business as it grew, what expertise did you need to grow in-house or outsource (i.e. web-site/IT management, feed management, legal/financial advice etc.)
Your experiences and insights into these topics would be of great benefit to your audience and could be a entire series on how to support an Amazon FBA business.
For the rest of you who didn’t win this time, don’t be too sad! I will still take note of all your suggestions, and I will try to cover as many topics as I physically can in 2019—and next year, around the same time, I will be back with another contest! 🙂
For anyone who is new and reading this: please make sure you stay connected so you don’t miss out on any new content that I release:
1) Sign up to my blog’s newsletter. You can do that by entering your email address on the homepage (PLUS you will get access to my special Amazon video).
3) Join our Amazon Sharks Facebook group! This is where I now post on a daily basis!
The group is 100% FREE to join and use! I personally reply to almost all questions posted there. PLUS, we have many group members who are already successful Amazon sellers and like to help out others, just like I do.
Finally, if you’re looking to start an Amazon FBA business in 2019, I highly recommend you check out my Amazon Sharks program! It’s the most comprehensive Amazon FBA training program out there, and it comes with my personal support, FREE lifetime updates and much more! You simply can’t go wrong by becoming an Amazon Shark!
Ok, that’s it for today. The winners are announced and the gift cards will be sent out. I will take a short break from posting now and spend the next two weeks with my family.
I will be back on Facebook on January 2nd! Then I’ll be back on the blog on January 10th with DECEMBER’s income update post and video! I can’t wait to share this month’s results with you as they are SHOCKING!
I can’t express to you how EXCITED I am for 2019!!! It’s so weird that I have been doing this for sooooo long, but it still gets better and better each year! I haven’t been this excited in a very long time.
I see next year as a real turning point for me and my business. I will be launching a new Shopify store for my brand, I will be attending at least three trade shows, and I’ll be venturing into wholesale, which means LOTS of valuable content for you too! I will start talking more about ecommerce, Shopify, digital marketing, wholesale and other topics that will help you build and grow your business in 2019.
And, of course, I won’t be leaving the Amazon stuff behind—not at all! My plan is to expand into Europe next year and that means only one thing – you will be able to learn from my journey, my mistakes and apply best information to your business.
So, exciting times ahead of us! Stay connected and keep in touch! If there’s anything you want to ask, feel free to contact me via the helpdesk here OR simply use the Facebook Messenger option on the blog. I always try to answer all queries within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, if not sooner.
It’s Christmas time, so don’t be too hard on yourself right now—take some time away from the business and spend it with your family. Plan the next year in detail and when you come back to work in January, get into it with 110% energy! That way, instead being depleted from overworking during the holidays, you’ll kickstart the new year full of energy and set yourself up for a very successful 2019.
That’s what I’m planning to do.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! 🙂
