My Product Showcase: Easy Auction Business

At the end of last year, I ran a contest on this blog in which I asked you, my dear readers, for suggestions on topics and questions that I should cover in 2016. And a few different people suggested that I should write some in-depth articles about the different products and courses I’ve created.

I actually thought that this was a very good idea, as I do get a number of questions from readers who are confused about which of my courses is for who and what they’re meant for.

So I decided to do this at the beginning of the year – to showcase my products and give an overview of each one. And that’s exactly what I’ll do over the next few weeks, starting today with my most popular product – the Easy Auction Business video course!

How It All Started

Easy Auction Business is my first creation and is the most popular from all of my courses!

The first version was released back in 2008 and since then it has sold thousands of copies in countries all around the world.

Back then I was a very active member of The Wholesale Forums, and after successfully starting my own eBay business, I wanted to share what I had learnt with others so I spent hours every week posting, answering people’s questions, and generally sharing my knowledge and experience with the countless members who frequented TWF.

And one day I was looking through my posts and realised that, in little fragments here and there, I had covered nearly everything you needed to know to create a profitable eBay business from scratch. So I decided to put it all together as a complete video course – and that’s how Easy Auction Business version 1.0 was born!

But don’t be misled by how long ago it was created (as yes, in online and eBay terms, 2008 feels like a different time completely) as the 2008 release was just version 1.0 – the current Easy Auction Business is version 3.0 and it’s completely new and up to date.

In the first few years I was actually manufacturing a physical version of the course – i.e. a disc in a DVD case that I would post out to members (hence why you can see the DVD cover on some of the Easy Auction Business banners).

However as internet speeds increased hugely in a few short years and video streaming became more and more popular, I decided to put the whole course online and, instead of sending out physical discs that could take a week or more to reach buyers, give them instant access so that people can start watching and learning straight away.

I know that some people do miss having a physical copy of the course but all things considered I really do think there are a lot more advantages to the online version which I’m currently using. Just think about updates for example; with the physical version I had to create new copies of the course and ask people to pay the P&P fees to get them shipped out. My completely honest answer is – as much as possible!

As of course the larger your starting budget, the more options you have in terms of niche and product selection, the more you can buy, and ultimately you will make more money faster. Really it goes without saying that someone with £5k to invest in their business is going to see faster progress than someone who starts with £300!

But, the beauty of EAB is that it covers several business models that cater to every budget. So it doesn’t matter how much money you have, there will always be a business model to suit you.

If you’re still looking for an exact penny amount, then yes, even with £50 you can use Easy Auction Business to start something on eBay and turn a profit. I’ve seen that happen numerous times, where students with practically no money have started with some of the more basic strategies and grown their business until it provides a full-time income.

So the amount of money you have to start with is in some ways irrelevant, as you’ll end up in the same place if you follow my advice – it might just take you a little longer.

People with larger budgets, say £5-£10k, will obviously see success much faster as they can expedite the process using a variety of methods taught within EAB. But in essence the course can be used to create an eBay business at pretty much any starting budget!

How much money will I make?

Ah, this is probably the second most common question I receive from prospective buyers! 🙂

Tens of millions…!

Jokes aside, it’s really impossible for me to answer this and it’s basically akin to asking “how long is a piece of string?”

There are simply too many factors to take in to account, such as:

• Your experience
• Your buying power
• The overall strategy you choose
• How much time you can devote to this
• How determined, motivated, and hardworking you are
• Luck. At the end of the day there are always some elements we can never account for.

Considering all of this, it’s just too hard for me to give an exact answer here as the range of what people earn is too broad.

What I can say is this – IF you put in the required effort, be patient, and follow my guidance, you will have a profitable eBay business.

I think that’s as good a guarantee as any?

How much time do I need to put into this?

This follows along perfectly from our previous question and once again there’s no definite answer.

In fact the most accurate response I can give is to ask another question – how much time do you want to put into this?

It really does depend on what your goals are and what you want to achieve. There are people who create a small side business working just 1-2 hours a day and there are others who dedicate full time hours to their eBay business…

Once again the great thing about Easy Auction Business is its versatility as there are numerous different business models for you to choose from, so that each individual can choose what’s best for them, budget and time wise.

I will say that you need to be realistic though – if you only want to spend an hour a day on starting an eBay business, then you can’t expect it to replace your full time income within a few weeks.

Now there’s nothing wrong at all with only spending an hour or so on EAB. In fact I would say that the majority of my customers start out like that, just looking to create something that can supplement their monthly salary.

I’m very happy to say that over time many of them end up quitting their jobs and working on their business full time, but that’s only once it’s taken off and is providing enough profit to make that possible. But initially, with full time jobs and a family to look after, most people can only dedicate 1-2 hours a night and then maybe a bit more on the weekend.

No business is going to get hundreds of orders a day from the very beginning, growth will be slow and natural, and this means you can see how things are progressing and make sure your business fits in perfectly with your daily routine.

Is it only for people in the UK?

No, not at all! It always disappoints me that many people assume Easy Auction Business is only applicable to people in the UK, as it can be applied pretty much anywhere in the world!

Really this is my own fault, as I do use UK examples on the EAB website and my blog is of course also UK focused.

Unfortunately it’s just impossible for me to customise the course for every regional eBay site and that means that there can be some slight discrepancies in the individual rules and eBay regulations.

As an example, eBay USA has a few different rules on listing formats, TRS requirements, what products you can and can’t sell etc. in comparison to the UK. Also, eBay usually introduce changes to their different sites bit by bit, generally starting with America (as they’re doing right now, with product reviews) so it would be extremely difficult and incredibly time consuming for me to create a course that is specific to each and every regional eBay site.

But, to me, this doesn’t really matter at all. I have many, many customers from the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and countless other countries! 90%+ of the course material can be applied to ANY country that has their own eBay site, and all of the most important aspects of Easy Auction Business, i.e. the strategies and actual ideas, work in the exact same way whether you’re selling on eBay.co.uk, eBay.com, eBay.pl, or any other of the 14 global eBay sites.

Some small details will be different, as I’ve mentioned above, but they are always easy enough to find just by reading through eBay’s help pages.

In fact, never mind the regional eBay sites, I have numerous customers from EU countries without any eBay at all who are still making good money selling to nearby countries like eBay.it or eBay.de. They manage this either by focusing on very small products that can be sent quickly and cheaply via airmail, or by opting to use a fulfilment house to process orders.

But basically, Easy Auction Business works worldwide.

The only exception to this is countries that don’t have their own regional eBay sites and are too far away from any countries that eBay has a strong presence in. I’m referring to countries such as Nigeria, Pakistan, Algeria etc. For people in such countries, my course just won’t offer the level of value that I want it to as it will just be too difficult to implement what I teach. In some of these countries PayPal isn’t available, which makes the whole thing a bit of a non-starter.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and I have to turn many people away because of this, but I’d rather be honest and upfront so people don’t have unrealistic expectations.
