Happy Friday, everyone!
This is the last blog post this year as I’m taking a short two-week break to enjoy Christmas time with my family. I will be back in the office on the 6th of January when the drill starts all over again for another year.
This all feels like déjà vu to me because I have been blogging now for twelve years and doing eCommerce for fifteen years (who counts really?).
Looking back at all I have done and achieved in that time makes it feel like I’ve been in the business for a very long time. And yet here we go again. Another new year with new opportunities lies ahead—and I’m still just as excited by it all!
I know that for many people, Christmas and the new year can be quite a depressing or exhausting time. That has never really been true for me. I have always felt energised and excited. I LOVE this feeling of a fresh start and the unlimited opportunities we all have! It’s crazy how much you can achieve in a year if you really put your goals ahead of everything and focus completely on what matters most.
Take, for example, my Amazon Sharks students. More than 200 hundred people started their own Amazon FBA journey in 2019 and many of them have now built profitable businesses from scratch. Here are just a few recent success stories that I have received:
It just shows what is possible when you get focused and reach for those stars. People who had never sold anything online have now created meaningful businesses that have basically changed their lives.
Maybe one of the reasons why this happens is that, historically, I have always launched or planned to launch a new business around this time. And yes, you guessed it right, I am actually working on a new business right now! I am hoping to launch it in February of next year. I will definitely keep you updated on how it all goes and hopefully my new experiences and advice will help other people who are planning to embark on a similar journey.
This year has been crazy busy for me. In fact, it’s been like no other year. But it hasn’t been all roses. I had one massive failure this year that I will share with you in more detail in January. The good news is that, even though I lost a ton of money, this failure doesn’t bother me at all. It’s even funny when I think about it. Most people in my shoes would get depressed and quit the journey altogether, but what I am doing instead? I’m already working on my next business!
Why? Because I enjoy the process of building new businesses. That’s one strong skill I know I have. It’s a trait that has always fascinated my friends, too. They can’t get their heads around how I can so quickly get over a failure and start something new! Go figure…
In my opinion, it largely comes down to the fact that I don’t care about losses. I have explained this in a previous blog post. Basically, I just don’t care about the money I lose in a failed business venture. That’s just how I’m wired, and I believe that this is the single most important reason why I have been able to be successful and survive in this industry for so long. I always find that next thing to build, and I get over any failures very quickly and painlessly.
But it’s not all about money—far from it! The biggest achievement ANY person should strive for is super simple: happiness! Gary Vee, who I follow closely, constantly pushes this message, and this year it finally reached me. It’s one thing when you hear something like this and think “yes, I agree”, but it’s something completely different when you REALLY feel it and when it becomes a part of you.
This year has been quite hard for me as I’ve been battling long-term personal problems, but over the last few months, I have really found a good path to follow. In fact, I feel the BEST I have ever felt in my life—both physically and mentally!
I’m really happy that I have found my own daily routine that I can stick with, which I will cover in a blog post, early next year. I do believe that routine plays a MAJOR role in your overall happiness and more people should think about what they do, what they eat, and how they spend their workdays and weekends to maximise their wellbeing. It’s important to keep your mind and spirit in good shape and simply be happy. Every single day.
And that’s what I wish to all of you in 2020. I hope that you will find your own path, your own daily routine, and your own purpose to bring you happiness every day. Reach for that happiness and magical things will happen. I promise.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all my loyal customers, blog readers and Facebook followers for all of the support you have given me throughout the year. And I also hope that I have given some value to you in return.
Let’s make the next year the BEST ever! Together.
You can always contact me if you have any questions, need feedback or would like advice on something you can’t handle on your own. It doesn’t matter if you’re a customer of mine or not. I will always try to at least give you some advice if possible.
Thank you once again.
